The building was a millwork for several years. The corrugated steel along the front was a loading dock. As you can see from the awning, there was once a deli in this old building. It was a small sandwich shop selling Subway-type sandwiches. The owner ended up moving his business to another location.
The building sold to a developer, who happened to also be the owner of Locations 3 & 4. Knowing our concept, they asked us if we would be interested in moving into the space on the corner. We took a tour of the place and while it was smaller than we originally planned, it had a good feel to it. Everyone on our team liked the potential, so we were in. Little did we know all that would unfold around us.
